It's been a long time baby!

I have realized that it has been over five months since the last time I posted anything on my blog.  I started this blog as a form of therapy, during a very stressful time in my life.  But it is nice to still jot down thoughts and feelings from time to time.  If anything....forming some documentation of what happens.  Whether anyone ever reads this but me, it is still good to have a timeline of events for me to look back at.  And the therapy it provides is still nice, even though things are not quite so stressful.

Well, maybe I should rephrase the stress level.  It isn't constantly stressful any longer.  It just comes in waves from time to time.

February 1, 2013....I was in an auto accident.  That brought the stress level up a notch or two for a while.  And this happened in the midst of the stress of remodeling.  But in a nutshell...we survived!  A little stronger, wiser, and grateful.  The events of the accident are foggy and I am going purely on what I have heard from my husband and son.  I got out of work shortly after 4:30pm, walked out to my car (the Intrepid), seen my co-worker's husband in the parking lot waiting for her, and brushed off my car.  That is the last thing that I remember until the wee morning hours of the next day, Saturday!  Apparently, I waited for Jere to meet me at work after he dropped Dustin off at work.  We then proceeded to Menards, Van Hill, and Carpet Bonanza to do some shopping.  The order we went and what we did at each store....I do not remember.  Then we stopped at McDonald's for something to eat through the drive thru.....again I do not remember any of this or of what I ate.  I dropped Jere back at his van, which was parked at my work.  He had to brush off his van, and he also brushed off a couple of the other vehicles of some of the girls at work.  I left and proceeded home.  The roads were actually pretty good, I was told.  However, when I went over some railroad tracks, I hit some "snow boogers" that had fallen off of trucks and cars.  The "snow boogers" or slushy crap, caused me to loose control and hydroplane.  Jere said that you could see my tracks were I tried to get control and then spun off and hit a telephone pole.  I totaled the car!  I hit the pole with the main structural point on the car.  By doing so, I took the blunt of the impact, because the car didn't "give" much on impact.  Because I took the blunt....I bounce around something wicked in the car.  Suffered a lot of bruises and a concussion.  It could have been much worse!  I ended up having to miss a week of work.  And to this day.....I have a gap of 7-8 hours or so in my memory.  I had a lot more pieces of memory missing over the previous weeks leading up to the accident....but they have all returned except for about the 8 starting at around 4:30pm Friday night til around midnight.  Scary!

Remodel.....oh the remodel!  I should post pics of before and after!  We made so many changes in our home....and I LOVE IT!  Basically involves new drywall, painting, laminate flooring and new carpet through out!  Picture will definitely show this best!

Now I am currently working on CE's for work to renew my tech license.  And looking forward to taking some time off from work in a couple of weeks to work on the yard, some furniture projects, and possibly a yard sale.
